Let Us Not Forget
On September 11, 2001 our country was devastated by an unforeseen attack by terrorists. Over 250 canine search and rescue teams worked around the clock at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon saving the lives of many injured people as well as finding those lost in the rubble. These brave animals climbed and searched places considered too dangerous for humans. These heroes worked without the benefit of gas masks or protective clothing.
