This medal commemorates one of the last campaigns in Europe, when U.S. troops liberated Austria and parts of Czechoslovakia. The front of the medal is the design of the Austrian Occupation shoulder patch. The reverse bears the "Official Seal" of the 50th Anniversary of WWII.
